Remembering Morville Church in your will

The Church of St Gregory the Great was built in 1118 and continues to this day to serve the village of Morville and the surrounding area. As well as holding regular services it provides a focus to families in the area through the milestones of life – baptisms, weddings and funerals. To continue to undertake this role is expensive and fund raising is a feature of the life of Morville Church. We therefore welcome all gifts in wills, however large or small and whether from local residents or visitors from further afield.

Our PCC Legacy Policy is to use gifts in wills to help fund significant projects, related to the maintenance of the church or the running of the church. You can be confident that your gift will be used to make a real difference to our future mission and ministry together with preserving the church for future generations.

To make a legacy gift to Morville Church please see the suggested wording on the C of E Church Legacy web page. The name of this church is “The Parochial Church Council of the parish of Morville in the diocese of Hereford (a charity registered with HMRC number XN32115)” Please discuss your wishes with your solicitor. To talk to someone in confidence about the sorts of purposes your gift to Morville Church might fund, and how/if you would like your gift to be acknowledged, please use the form on the contact us page and we will get in touch with you.

If you would like to make a gift to our church in memoriam, please discuss this with us too. It can be a wonderful and appropriate way to remember a loved one.
Maybe you have already signed a will. This is no problem as you can add a codicil and keep this with your will. A form can be found on the Church of England web site here.

Further information on leaving a legacy to the Church can be found on the Church of England web site.

Thank you for thinking of Morville Church.
